The need for new technology

How often do you find yourself sitting in a room at some business, or other organization and realize that the technology exists to make your experience much much better than it is.

For example, When your in line for something that could be completely automated... Like putting your name on a list for first available table. Overall they don't need your name... they just have to give you the little buzzer thing... and then buzz you when your table
comes up. So why do we wait in line to wait in line... when with a hit the button get a buzzer machine would work just fine.

Add a computer and it could gauge how many people are still in line to be buzzed, how fast the buzzing is occurring, and give you the estimated wait times as well...

I know for one I would kill to not have to keep asking the poor girl behind the reservation booth how long its going to be for a table... she doesn't ever have the slightest clue what the real answer will be, but a computer would.

Maybe its just me, but I think there are plenty of tasks, like giving out numbers to get your table, could be made much more efficient with technology. It will be just like the improvement of having the buzzers in the first place.

All this being said, If you have any more places you would like to see technology, post them up in the comments of this post... I would love to see them.
