The need for new technology

How often do you find yourself sitting in a room at some business, or other organization and realize that the technology exists to make your experience much much better than it is.

For example, When your in line for something that could be completely automated... Like putting your name on a list for first available table. Overall they don't need your name... they just have to give you the little buzzer thing... and then buzz you when your table
comes up. So why do we wait in line to wait in line... when with a hit the button get a buzzer machine would work just fine.

Add a computer and it could gauge how many people are still in line to be buzzed, how fast the buzzing is occurring, and give you the estimated wait times as well...

I know for one I would kill to not have to keep asking the poor girl behind the reservation booth how long its going to be for a table... she doesn't ever have the slightest clue what the real answer will be, but a computer would.

Maybe its just me, but I think there are plenty of tasks, like giving out numbers to get your table, could be made much more efficient with technology. It will be just like the improvement of having the buzzers in the first place.

All this being said, If you have any more places you would like to see technology, post them up in the comments of this post... I would love to see them.

New Beginnings

Well, as always the first post of a new blog is always a lame excuse for an explanation to why its there. Quite usually a pathetic attempt to explain what the writer is really trying to achieve.

All this being said...   I'm starting this in an attempt to toss out my posisiton on many issues in technology, from reviewing technology to assessing the way technology is being used, to well to put it bluntly, to say whatever the hell I want about technology.

What this blog will not be,    a scientific document,  a homework assignment, or some crazy i have no life blog that is updated all of the time.   I will update this when I get something that I have time to write about, what I cant promise is regular updates, as my next semester is going to have 21 credits in it... and for those who have been in college lately you know what thats going to do to my ability to do anything outside of the classroom.
